YOGA at Little Samadhi means de-stressing, releasing, recharging and remembering who you are. 

Hatha Yoga

Hatha Yoga is a broad term that encompasses any of the physical practices of yoga. It is an ancient system that includes the practice of asanas (yoga postures) and pranayama (breathing exercises), which help bring peace to the mind and body. Through working with the physical body and breath, you can release tensions and traumas stored in your body, and create space in yourself to prepare your body for deeper spiritual practices such as meditation. Also referred to as the yoga of activity and as “sun” (ha) and “moon” (tha), the yoga of balance.

Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga is a slow-paced style of yoga with specific asanas – variations of seated and supine poses – that are typically held for 3 to 5 minutes, accessing the deep connective tissues of the body. Yin Yoga teaches self-compassion. The slow deep breathing takes us into a meditative state of being – physically, mentally and emotionally. A perfect recharge.

Group Yoga Retreats

Nurture your mind, body and soul with a yoga breakaway, designed to suit your needs. Little Samadhi Karoo Retreat can accommodate groups of up to seven people. For bigger groups there are several self-catering accommodation options in Barrydale.

Walking a labyrinth is like walking yourself back home. The labyrinth is both archetype and metaphor for the journey of life, the journey inward into your deeper self, the journey to your heart. The labyrinth is an amazing tool that you can use, whether you walk with your fingers or your feet, to help you let go of your thoughts and come back into the present moment – the NOW zone – where you reconnect with your authentic true self and the Divine. Little Samadhi Karoo Retreat has a beautiful rose quartz labyrinth that you can walk on your own or be guided by Terry into a deeper experience of finding and understanding yourself more fully.

Shamanic Breathwork

This powerful healing modality balances body, mind and soul through a combination of deep circular breathing done to the rhythm of evocative chakra-attuned music to go on an inner journey and reach an altered state of consciousness. Ancient healers used sacred ceremonies, prayers, songs and chants to elevate spiritual wellbeing, addressing the aches of the body, mind and heart Shamanic Breathwork builds on these traditions to bring the individual back home to his/her intrinsic healing wisdom. The transformative process can help you to release what is holding you back, resolve old traumas and shapeshift unproductive habits/thoughts so that you can open up to your future self. Integration of the process is done by using mandala art, journaling, storytelling and finding the golden gifts of your story.

Healing Sound Journey

Using the power of sound with crystal and Tibetan singing bowls, chimes, bells, drums and her beautiful voice, Terry invites you to lie down, relax and let the vibrations of the sound reverberate deep in your body to restore your mind, body and soul back to a state of balance. Also known as vibrational medicine, the harmonic vibrations promote healing and wellbeing. The sound waves entrain the brain to move into deeper Alpha, Theta and Delta brain wave frequencies, inducing a deep meditative and peaceful state of mind.

Nature Medicine Walk

During this listen-to-nature walk you will embark on a guided solo and silent hike in nature to slow down and once again hear the quiet voice of your heart. Nature always reflects wisdom and guidance back to you if you allow the mystery of the experience to reveal the insight you need. You will learn how outer nature can serve as a clear mirror for your own inner nature. Afterwards Terry will help you make sense of your experience by mirroring the gifts and medicine of your walk.

Sweat Your Prayers

Oh, but to dance with joyous and wild abandon! You don’t need a special talent to move. You don’t even need to be coordinated. You just need to be willing. Willing to let go and let the music dance you. Dancing helps you to come alive and embody joy. The music will take you on a journey through your chakras to help you find your bliss. Dancing as a spiritual practice offers deep healing and transformation. Why not try it out?

Creating a vision board with images and word that you’ve torn out of magazines is a powerful way to focus on that which inspire and motivate you. What you focus on expands. Thus, when you create this treasure map with images of how you want to feel, what the ideal career/relationship/house/holiday will be like, how you want to grow personally and spiritually, you add clarity to your desires. Making a vision board creates a sacred space in which you can bring your desires to life.
